TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR DELEGATES
Prior to any event that is booked with Think Different Events Limited please ensure that you read and accept these terms and conditions.
Charges: the amount payable by the Delegate for attendance at the Event.
Client: the person or firm who engages Think Different.
Delegate: any person attending all or part of the Event.
Event: the occasion for which the Delegate is attending.
Speaker: any persons (including exhibitors) acting for and booked by Think Different.
Think Different: Think Different Events Limited, a company incorporated and registered in Scotland with company number SC366035 and having it registered office at Suite 3.2, Station House, 34 St Enoch Square, Glasgow, G1 4DF.
1. Payment Terms for Delegates
(a) Payment of the Charges must be made in full by the Delegate or by the Client on behalf of the Delegate in order for the registration to be confirmed and guaranteed.
(b) Payment can be made
(i) online through our website or
(ii) by invoice when a Purchase Order number is provided at the time of registration
(c) Charges may be subject to VAT.
(d) Once payment of the Charges has been received Think Different will provide the Delegate with an email confirmation and a receipted invoice.
Once the Charges have been received by Think Different they are non-refundable including when the Event has been cancelled by the Client. No responsibility can be accepted by Think Different for any consequences arising from the postponement or cancellation of the Event.
(a) If a Delegate is unable to attend the Event the Delegate may nominate a substitute to attend the Event on their behalf up to one week prior to the Event date at no extra charge. The Delegate must inform Think Different in writing of any substitution.
(b) If a Delegate fails to notify Think Different of a substitution Think Different reserves the right to charge for an additional place at the Event.
4. Access Requirements
Delegates should advise Think Different of any access requirements at the time of registration.
All views expressed by Speakers at the Event are their own. Think Different cannot accept liability for advice given or views expressed by any Speakers at the Event or in any material provided by the Delegates.
6. Data Protection
Think Different shall collect and process the information the Delegates gives by completing registration on our website. The information will be used in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998.
It is the responsibility of the Delegate to arrange appropriate insurance cover in connection with their attendance at the Event. Think Different cannot be held liable for any loss, liability or damage to personal property.
A combination of the prevailing UK legislation and generally accepted practices dictate that in the vast majority of confiscation cases, assets seized under PACE or POCA, even those seized utilising the powers given under Section 47 of POCA, are often held in storage for extended periods of time, suffering unnecessary depreciation.
